Scholarships

Congratulations to the scholarship recipients!

Congratulations to the 162 young professionals who will be receiving travel scholarships and free registration through this exciting new program. The high quality of the applicants was nothing short of amazing.

Join us at the Host Chapter Party on Friday, May 16, as we pay tribute to these young professionals in our Design Forward Lounge, supported by Visionary Sponsor Cubellis.

In addition to Cubellis, this new program received critical support from John Moriarty & Associates, MassHousing, Thornton Tomasetti, Wentworth Institute of Technology along with AIA New Hampshire, AIA Houston, Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood Inc., Office of Community Design and Development at Louisiana State University, Southern Land Company and Stoa Architects.

About the Scholarship Program

The AIA Convention is particularly enriched when young professionals participate. But all too often it’s only the principals who can afford to attend. Many people just starting their careers find the cost of travel, registration, accommodations and time away from work prohibitive.

The AIA Convention Young Professionals Scholarship Fund, a new scholarship program conceived by the BSA, supported young professionals who otherwise would not be able to attend with travel scholarships of up to $500. The AIA also offered these individuals free convention registration.
