The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) LEED Gold building was designed by Boston-based firm designLAB architects in 2009. Join the Cape and Islands Network in a tour with both client and architect. The AIA Committee on the Environment selected IFAW’s headquarters building as one 2009’s top ten examples of sustainable architecture and green design.

Join the BSA/SCUP College and University Roundtable on February 26 at 9:30 am at the Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center (161 College Avenue, Medford) to learn how Reebok is building a culture of wellness on the Tufts campus.

EPNet takes a hard-hat tour of The Kensington, a $172 million, 27-story high-rise of 381 residential rental units and 4,000 square feet of retail space, with The Architectural Team. We meet meet at 5:30 pm in the parking lot adjacent to the site on LaGrange Street. The tour will be followed by an EPNet sponsored social hour at a local bar.

Have you been curious to see the inside of MassArt’s new dormitory tower? The Housing Committee is pleased to offer a private tour of the facility on Friday, November 30, at 3:00 pm at 578 Huntington Avenue. Join the architects, landscape architect and end users to learn about the intense and unusual collaborative approach—involving MassArt students, faculty, alumni, administration and trustees—that resulted in a new identifier in the Boston skyline.

EPNet brings you behind the scenes in one of Boston's biggest new developments: Boston Wharf Tower in the Seaport District. Come with BSA's emerging professionals for an inside tour, followed by a tour of ADD Inc's office. We meet at the construction site at 319 A Street on October 23 at 5:30 pm. Bring your hard hat!

Don’t miss a unique opportunity, exclusive to BSA members, to interact and mingle with the curator of City of Mirages: Baghdad, 1952–1982. Curated by Spanish architect and academic Dr. Pedro Azara, this exhibit opens at BSA Space on October 2 and uncovers 15 built and unbuilt works by the world’s best-known architects in Baghdad, a part of the history of modernism that has been relatively underexplored and is still not well known.

Tour Wellesley High School with the Performing Arts Design Committee on September 27 at 3:00 pm at 50 Rice Street, Wellesley Hills. We will take an in-depth look at their new performing arts facilities, including construction issues, audio-visual program requirements for a modern high school and the sustainable strategies employed for the space.
