WORKING with PDFs for CAD REVIEW & MARKUP
* Light Dinner Refreshments ($5 Donation) / Reception & Networking
* Welcome, Introductions, Checking out the new BSA |Space|, and General Announcements:
LESSON ONE: DataCAD 14.01.01.
We will touch on a few of the newest features issued with 14.01.01 (Subscribers only) that include new Layer Manager Indicators, and the WYSIWYG option.
LESSON TWO: Creating PDFs in DataCAD.
It may seem to be a no-brainer task in DataCAD but there are a few tweaks and options that you should know about, such as how to create a multi-layer PDF.
LESSON THREE: The Importance of PDFs for CAD and Bluebeam PDF Revu.
by Evan H. Shu, FAIA
After establishing the importance of working with PDFs for CAD documentation and review, Evan will give you an initial tour of the full-featured PDF handling program called Bluebeam PDF Revu. It is half the cost of Adobe Acrobat yet much more full featured, especially for CAD markups, editing, binding into sets, and much more.
*Notes: AIA Members & Massachusetts Registered Architects can earn 3 CEU credits for attending. Also, earlier starting time is to allow us to get out before the building closes at 8:30 p.m.
