Call Your State Representative and Senator Today!!

                         **ACTION ALERT**

Call Your State Represntative and Senator Today

Ask your state legislator to co-sponsor a bill that supports the creation of a state-wide building code that is free from inconsistencies, redundancies, conflicts or overlaps in jurisdiction.

At request of AIA MA, state Representative Chris Walsh AIA filed HD 381 – An Act Establishing the Building Code Coordinating Council

  • The bill supports the creation of a state-wide building code that is free from inconsistencies, redundancies, conflicts or overlaps in jurisdiction with the state’s 13 other specialty codes.
  • Is a simple solution to the problem by requiring all proposed changes to construction codes be first approved by the BCCC
  • No change simply perpetuates the current confusion within the design and construction industry as to which requirements to follow, which results in additional time and money spent on all construction projects.

Please call or write your Representative and Senator before the co-sponsorship deadline ends at 5:00 pm Friday, February 3rd  and urge them to co-sponsor this bill.
