Serve on the Boston Back Bay Architectural Commission

 
Recently the seat for the BSA’s representative Commissioner on the Back Bay Architectural Commission has become available, and as such the BSA has been asked by the City of Boston to submit nominees for appointment consideration.
 
Please see the information below regarding the requirements and duties of the Commission.

The deadline for submission of cover letter/resumes is Monday, November 16, 2015.

 

Back Bay Architectural Commission

Boston residency is not a requirement, but is preferred, ideally within the district. Candidates shall possess interest and expertise in historic preservation. They must be able to represent the Back Bay Architectural Commission, the City of Boston, and the BSA professionally in a public capacity. Knowledge in related fields is useful in carrying out the mandates of the Commission.
 
Commissioner duties typically involve one evening meeting per month (on the second Wednesday). Additional participation is required from time to time for site visits, subcommittee meetings, and workshops and training as required to fulfill the functions of the Commission.
