Design students and recent graduates are invited to submit your work for a prominent traveling exhibit.
Submissions will be evaluated on creativity, design excellence, and for work that goes beyond the current trends of form and image making. The clarity, legibility, and innovative use of presentation technology for the digital presentation also will be considered. Three-dimensional models and flythrough video are encouraged.
Eligibility
Undergraduate and graduate students currently studying architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, or interior design anywhere in North America, as well as individuals who have earned their architecture degrees within the last five years (after January 1, 2005), are invited to submit work for consideration. Projects produced by individuals or teams of young designers are eligible.
Architectural designs that result from an architecture school’s design studio or any built or unbuilt project are eligible; such projects may be actual or purely theoretical, individual or team projects, student design/build projects, independent study, or thesis projects. Recent graduates may submit theoretical or real projects authored in your professional office.
Projects that have been honored in this program in past years and work by the design professionals serving as jurors this year (or by their firms) are not eligible.
Entry Fees
The non-refundable fee for the all submissions is $25, payable to the Boston Society of Architects. (There is no limit on submissions.)
Submission
Complete the entry form and mail it with your entry fee and design materials to: BSA Future of Design Competition, The Architects Building, 52 Broad Street, Boston MA 02109.
All submissions must reach the BSA by 4:00 pm EST, May 3, 2010. Conceal references to the architecture firm on all materials submitted for the jury’s review.
