Dear BEC Members:
ASHRAE is currently seeking Advisory Public Review comments on proposed changes to ASHRAE Standard 90.2 for low-rise residential buildings.
Comments are due by SUNDAY.
This review is critically important – to both ASHRAE and the nation. I believe that the BEC members are valuable and critical contributors to this review.
This standard seeks to provide guidance on the minimum energy efficiency of low-rise residential buildings. While these may not be your primary work focus, you are well aware of the building science challenges of delivering a durable building envelope that performance for the 50 to 100-year life expectancy of these buildings.
We need these buildings done right – they are going to be around for a long time!
