Payette has an immediate opening for an in-house Graphic Designer. You will be a part of a small marketing team to support the firm in pursuing science and technology research and teaching, medical school, healthcare and biotechnology projects. The Graphic Designer is responsible for implementing a wide variety of design applications for most of the graphic needs of the firm including client-facing design materials, design award submittals, interview preparation, publications and special mailings, exhibit design and general marketing support. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for coordinating daily updates of the office intranet and Payette blog.

Responsibilities include:
• Working closely with Principals and Project Teams to assist in strategy, preparation and run-throughs for client interviews/presentations
• Working closely with the Marketing Team and Principals to discuss specific submittal requirements and overall design and layout for any graphic components needed for Design Award Submittals
• Designing covers, case study, insert documents, and organizational and other charts for Proposals
• Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and Principals to conceptualize and design project books and other graphic projects such as invitations and the holiday sketchbook
• Designing and assembling press kits and other graphic material on firm projects (i.e. portfolios) for submission to targeted publishers

To be considered for the position you must have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design, Art or other arts-related field
• Adobe CS Suite, especially Adobe InDesign (or other layout program such as Quark), Photoshop and Illustrator.
• General working knowledge of MS PowerPoint
• Experience working (including internships) as a graphic designer in a professional office environment

Other position qualifications include:
• Strong skills in conceptual development, layout ability, typography, and illustration
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously work to meet deadlines and prioritize projects
• Experience managing projects through all phases of production
• Excellent attention to details / good proofreader
• Ability to work independently as well as interact with large groups
