Senior Vice President for Planning Services and Development Projects

The MassDevelopment Finance Agency is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Vice President (SVP), Planning Services and Development Projects. Under the supervision of EVP Real Estate, the primary responsibilities of the SVP are to supervise the implementation of planning services and real estate development projects from initial conception through completion. This position will supervise several Project Managers.

Pursuant to its mission to create jobs, promote economic development and eliminate blight throughout the Commonwealth, MassDevelopment undertakes a wide range of real estate redevelopment projects either as the owner/developer, or by providing support services to communities including master planning, permitting and approvals, engineering, marketing, construction management and property management. Projects have included major military base reuse, municipal redevelopment projects and surplus state, municipal or federal properties.

Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Consideration will be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree in urban planning, architecture, urban design and/or real estate development. Proven track record for exceptional managerial and negotiation skills. Demonstrated knowledge of real estate development, building design and construction is required. Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of professional expertise in the areas of planning, architecture, construction management and/or real estate project management as well as 5 years of direct supervisory experience. Candidates must possess superior writing, oral and communication skills, be able to work independently, meet deadlines, perform effectively under pressure, manage time efficiently and be detail oriented. Regional travel is required.
