Daniel Pearl co-founded L’OEUF (L’Office de l’éclectisme urbain et fonctionnel) in 1992, a firm with a broad and diversified architectural practice. L'OEUF has developed an expertise in sustainable and environmental building and urban design. This experience is founded in a balanced approach to evaluating multiple facets of a project right from the outset; architectural expression, economic feasibility, life-cycle assessment, construction technique and the environmental impacts of a project. L'OEUF has also developed important working relationships with innovative consulting engineers (structural, mechanical, bio-climatic) and coordinates their involvement in the projects from the conceptual design stage. All of the L’OEUF team actively promote the Integrated Design Process (IDP), and believes strongly that it is an economically viable, inclusive and highly productive way of propelling a project forward. Daniel is an associate professor at the school of Architecture at Université de Montréal (since 2001). Daniel was the acting chair of the academic education committee for the Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) since its inception in January 2003 until the fall of 2007. Daniel has lectured extensively in both North America and Europe. |
