David Cash is the Assistant Secretary for Policy in the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA). In this role, Dr. Cash advises the Secretary of Energy and Environment on a wide array of issues including energy, land management, water management, oceans, wildlife and fisheries, air and water quality, climate change, transportation, and waste management. The Assistant Secretary works with the Secretary and the Undersecretaries of Environment and Energy and the Commissioners of the Division of Energy Resources and Department of Environmental Protection to develop and analyze policy options to the Patrick Administration's energy and environment mission. As Secretary Bowles' designee, he will be directing the Governor's new Zero Net Energy Building initiative. Prior to working for the Commonwealth, Dr. Cash was a research associate at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, and a Lecturer in Environmental Science and Public Policy. He received a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Kennedy School in 2001. |
