Registered as both an architect and professional engineer, Paul Donnelly teaches design studio and courses in building technology. He is a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has over twenty years of private practice experience in his own architectural and engineering firm and is presently a Senior Associate at HOK Architects. Equally distinguished in his teaching career, he has been a Visiting Scholar and Visiting Professor at MIT, as well as Professor of Architecture at Roger Williams University, where he taught for ten years prior to joining the faculty at Washington University. The recipient of numerous awards from the ACSA and the AIA for innovation in teaching and technology integration, his main research interest, Paul's work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan, as well as being published in magazines such as Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, Architecture, Shinkenchiku (The Japan Architect, Japanese Edition), and others.
