| Details: | The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Roundtable devotes its October 27 meeting at 9:00 am at The Architects Building to an overview of SPie, a new initiative to link BIM and specifications. Sponsored by BuildingSmart, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CSI and SCIP, the Specifiers Property Information Exchange (SPie) brings together software manufacturers, product manufacturers, trade associations, professional associations and project stakeholders to define a series of open-information exchanges that improve construction document consistency, reduce product discovery and procurement costs, and automatically capture construction handover data. This session is a preview of a demonstration to be presented at FedSpec in Washington in December.
