DESCRIPTION:This lecture will examine\, through specific applied research and design  
 projects\, the architect’s role in engaging nested scales of design from the  
 compact city to open territories. Through specific design procedures for  
 diverse geographies and urban scenarios\, architecture will be framed as a  
 critical agent in mediating society and space.
 
 Felipe Correa\, director\, Urban Design Program and associate professor\,
