ARE Success Registration Form

Current estimated ARE materials inventory

In January 2005, Elizabeth Spelman Assoc. AIA gathered together a group of six unlicensed designers to form a special study group to prepare for and take the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) in only seven months. They called themselves the ARE Success Team.

Seeking to revive the camaraderie that developed during the days when the ARE was offered only once a year, these six professionals pledged to take one exam every three weeks--and all six managed to stick together through this demanding schedule.

The BSA now provides study materials and meeting space for additional ARE Success Teams. In the program, teams of five to nine people work as a support network. Every member pledges to meet with and support the other team members until all members have completed their exams.
