Access Committee survey – Feedback on Proposed Changes to 521 CMR

Share your feedback on the Proposed Changes to 521 CMR

Based on numerous requests at our March meeting, the BSA Access Committee is reaching out to the design community for feedback on the long-awaited proposed changes to 521 CMR. The “red-line” PDF version of these changes is now available for download here on the AIA MA Government Affairs Committee web page.

The Access Committee will continue to play an important role in the collection of opinions from architects and other professionals regarding these proposed changes. Please review the “red-line” PDF in the link above and take a moment to share your opinion with the Access Committee. Results will be distributed anonymously to the AIA MA Government Affairs Committee on Friday 5/13 as part of the ongoing public comment period. Results will also be shared and discussed at our regular May meeting on Wednesday 5/25.

Additionally, the Baker-Polito Administration established the Regulation Review Project under Executive Order 562. 521 CMR is one of 1,600 regulations submitted by state agencies to the Executive Office for Administration and Finance (ANF) for review and approval. As part of this effort, you may provide your feedback on 521 CMR directly to ANF’s “Clearer Code” website here.
