Bridging the Gap between Architects and Engineers

Suzanne Robinson eloquently described the mindsets of members of the two professions which can lead to misunderstandings, but which can also - if managed with insight - lead to successful collaboration. Suzanne carefully addressed the 4 Learning Objectives:

1. Learn what an architects dream engineer is, and why.

2. Learn an engineer’s favorite type of architect, and how to improve any shortfalls.

3. Learn from two NZE projects about effective and ineffective teamwork from an engineer’s perspective.

4. Learn to identify and overcome obstacles which the A/E team face at the industry level, and explore what the next generation of design will look like.

Suzanne's concluding recommendations are relevant for all participants in any given project.
