Construction Control Forms

 The Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS) has just posted on their web site recommended standard Construction Control forms for use during controlled construction:

Their site includes the forms, a PowerPoint presentation explaining their use, and their official Construction Control Formal Code Interpretations by BBRS.

 

The BBRS is also recommending that all state and town building inspectors use these new documents.

 

Poole Professional Ltd, a professional liability insurance provider to many firms in the area has determined that the forms include requirements that are “uninsurable as written”.

 

Working in association with AIA Massachusetts and Donovan Hatem, LLP, they have reached an agreement with the Department of Public Safety to modify these forms.  The modified versions have been posted on their website for your review. They have highlighted in yellow the modified language.  Their modified documents are available here:
