Help CultureNOW expand their image library.

cultureNOW is in the process of creating a Museum Without Walls for Boston using smartphone technology to build an acoustiguide to the environment.  We believe that there are three facets to understand a place - its built environment (architecture), cultural insertions (art), and history (what happened there). We are trying to demystify the design process in the belief that the public would be more engaged participants if they were better equipped to understand it.  The idea is that you can stand in a place (or search for it) and it will tell you about itself.  You can listen to the architect talk about the design philosophy, while looking at images of the building, for instance.

We are looking for really wonderful photographs of architecture, art and public places in and around the Boston area to add to the virtual museum.  The images need to be 72 dpi jpgs (500 pixels in the short dimension).

Some of the photographers who have been collaborating on the project include: Peter Vanderwarker, Anton Grassl, Michael Moran, Bruce Damonte and Erica Stoller.  For those who are interested, please send images to Abby Suckle,  abby@culturenow.org.  Photographic credit is given to those whose images are used.
