Stephanie Carlisle is a Principal and Environmental Researcher at KieranTimberlake. She investigates topics related to the interaction between the constructed and natural environment, including life cycle analysis, urban ecology and climate change. Stephanie’s writing on life cycle assessment and carbon has been published in peer-reviewed journals including The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment (IJLCA).

Mr. Elefante served as the 94th President of the American Institute of Architects.

Nadav Malin is a passionate facilitator, working with USGBC, AIA, large corporations, government agencies, and architecture firms. As president of BuildingGreen, he oversees the company’s industry-leading information and community-building websites BuildingGreen.com and LEEDuser. Nadav led the LEED rating system’s Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group, as well as the team that created the U.S. Department of Energy’s High Performance Buildings Database.

Greg Norris

Greg Norris Directs the Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive Enterprise at MIT and teaches LCA at Harvard. He is Chief Scientist with the International Living Future Institute, co-developing and advancing the Living Product Challenge. He founded a sustainability-related non-profit and co-founded a sustainability related B-Corp.

Jacob Deva Racusin is co-owner of New Frameworks Natural Design/Build, offering services in green remodeling, new construction, consultation, and education featuring low-impact high-performance building technologies. Jacob is also Program Director of the Certificate in Building Science and Net Zero Design at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School, and is a BPI-certified contractor and Certified Passive House Consultant. A member of the Embodied Carbon Network’s Renewable Materials Task Force, Jacob has been active in introducing sustainability measures into building codes.

Lindsay's focus is on reducing the carbon impacts of the built environment. She manages Architecture 2030's education initiatives, including the Carbon Smart Materials Palette, the highly successful AIA+2030 Online Series, the 2030 Palette, and Architecture 2030's student design initiatives. She also completed research on the embodied carbon impacts of passive house design and the balance between material choices and operational energy performance.

Marc Rosenbaum PE is a long-time student of making great buildings. He uses an integrated systems design approach to help people create buildings and communities connected to the natural world, supporting both personal and planetary health. Much of his recent work has been Zero Net Energy Buildings, Deep Energy Retrofits and Passive Houses. His work has been recognized nationally by ASHRAE, AIA, EEBA, and NESEA.

Kate Simonen AIA, SE is founding director of the Carbon Leadership Forum. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington, a writer, and a researcher with significant professional experience in high performance buildings, architecture and structural engineering. She authored the authoritative Life Cycle Assessment and the LCA Practice Guide and is co-chair of the Embodied Carbon Network – a global, open-access communications and action network.

Stacy Smedley

​At Skanska, Stacy leads sustainable initiatives and opportunities, and is considered a subject matter expert in LEED and Living Building Challenge certifications, with a passion for reducing materials toxicity and carbon emissions associated with construction. Her resume includes the first project in the world to be certified under Living Building Version 2.0 standards. Among other things, Stacy has served as an Advisory Board Member for the Carbon Leadership Forum and an Advisory Group Member for AIA Materials Working Group.

Mark D. Webster is a structural engineer at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger. He is a founding member and current Co-Chair of the Structural Engineering Institute’s Sustainability Committee and chairs the committee’s Carbon Working Group. He recently edited and co-authored the committee’s technical report addressing the climate impacts of structural materials, "Structural Materials and Global Climate.”
