More Advanced SketchUp!

We had so much fun in our last Advanced session of the monthly BSA SketchUp Bootcamp, we’re doing it again! All users are welcome; novices will find this is a great way to stretch your SketchUp mind, and as always we’ll cover best practices for efficient modeling.

In our last session, we went deep into creating custom Materials and mapping them to oddly-shaped objects. Many people also showed interest in Terrain, MatchPhoto, and Animating Sections, so that’s how we’ll start this session. Learn how to quickly add Terrain to ground your buildings, import satellite imagery and geolocate your model with Add Location, and quickly create Arrays of trees and Drop them onto an undulating landscape. Use MatchPhoto to create models from photographs, both interior and exterior. Animate Sections and Shadows for more dynamic presentations.

Plus, learn how to use the Follow-Me tool to create everything from roofs to intricate railings to wainscoting, and how to use the Scale tool to stretch objects to exact sizes. Got something you’d like to learn? Email your suggestions to [email protected].

Bring your questions and a fully-charged laptop (and mouse) with SketchUp 8+ installed, or just come to watch.

For those who qualify, 2 LUs are available.
