Enhancing Negotiation Skills for Project Collaborations

This interactive session will focus on the enhancement of negotiation skills for project collaborations. IPD and Lean establish relationships and introduce processes that rely upon stakeholders recognizing their interdependences. Project leaders need to address problems jointly, and work together over time toward the creative, mutually satisfying solutions that collaborations can achieve.

During this roundtable discussion, the presenter and moderator, Peter Gorer AIA, RIBA, facility asset strategist, will outline some considerations that are important for making integrative processes more effective, and he will introduce some negotiation tools that Roundtable members can take away and experiment with as they do their work.

Participants are also invited but not required to reflect on a problematic professional experience that they would be willing to share with others at the meeting.

Peter Gorer AIA, RIBA, is an architect, independent green building consultant, and a mediator affiliated with MWI. MWI is based in Boston and operates nationally, providing clients with negotiation training, negotiation support and coaching, as well as conflict resolution services, including mediation, arbitration, and organizational ombuds services.

For those who qualify, 1.5 LUs are available
