Please join us on February 5th as Lloyd Fisk of Research Facilities Design, one of the preeminent lab planners in the country, discusses trends in lab design.

This presentation will discuss how forces such as culture, geopolitics, and business practices are key factors in the design of ambitious science facilities. The talk will delve into these issues using a framework of three significant international projects that were designed in the last decade. The progression of these projects will be described with an emphasis on primary factors that drove programming and design decisions. These influences include functional as well as aspirational motivations of the clients. The challenges and opportunities of working on large projects in distant locations will be an underlying theme.

In this session, you will

requirements and motivations.
3. Understand how laboratory planning and architecture are complimentary disciplines in the design
