I am drawn to the imagery with fascinating: shapes, patterns, structures, and textures. When these elements combine in architectural designs, they can simultaneously show stark, and subtle beauty. Recently, I have been exploring visual contradictions in a diverse series called, “Order & Chaos” in which elements simultaneously work together while contending.
The stark contrast between ultra-contemporary street lights, and 300+ year-old shipping merchant buildings is striking in the main tourist square of Aalborg, Denmark. Note signs for Burger King and Jensen’s Beef House on these restored buildings.
