Artist Statement
Allston Hole, 2019, Photographic print, $900
I aim to capture the scenes around us using long exposures to create images that our eyes can never see. The science of film and photographic exposure allow movement and motion to streak through images creating striking images of familiar scenes. The end results are unique from our personal experiences, which see only the individual lights moving through the view.
This long exposure photograph captures a view through an opening in a fence of a pedestrian walkway over the Massachusetts Turnpike in Allston, MA.
