KMA is a design and consulting practice, working and thinking at the intersection of architecture and accessibility. We are currently seeking an Architect to help manage KMA’s architectural design projects. This is a new position necessitated by the rapid expansion of our design portfolio over the past three years. Responsibilities of the position will include project management, drawing production, construction administration, and client communication for accessibility-driven renovation projects in private residences, multi-family/affordable housing, and institutional buildings. This is a junior leadership position in a small but growing firm, with the opportunity for advancement for the right candidate. Requirements: • MA architectural license • minimum 5 years’ experience in the field, 2 since licensure • experience with private residential design, multi-family/ affordable housing, or both • proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe creative suite • ability to manage small-scale projects with senior oversight • exceptional collaborative ability and commitment to learning • demonstrated prior interest in accessibility, Universal Design, or socially responsive design Compensation: commensurate with experience KMA’s office culture supports work-life balance while embracing the mission-driven work that is at the core of our professional expertise.
