The Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA), a nonprofit cultural and professional organization, seeks a driven and enthusiastic person to serve as Community Design Director and join our creative and collaborative twenty-person staff. The ideal candidate for this key full-time role is outgoing and relationship builder, organized, efficient and detail-oriented, and has previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  The individual we seek is flexible, proactive and resourceful, experienced in working with diverse communities and architecture/urban planning and/or community design, program-related tasks and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to identify and execute on developing and implementing community design projects as well as recruiting and managing volunteer teams at the local level. The ability to interact with staff, members, and other professionals at all levels with a high degree of professionalism is essential to this role. This person must also be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite and possess excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities. An understanding of the architectural and building industry is a plus.
