HKT Architects, an architectural firm located in Charlestown in our 46th year of business, is looking for project architects with capability in contract administration, as well as design and production with 7+ years of experience for immediate full-time employment. Our work includes municipal projects such as public safety, public works and town offices as well as college/university projects, interior design, sustainable design and historic preservation throughout New England. About This Position

Candidate will be immediately taking on the role of contract administrator for the construction of a publicly bid project for a MA municipality. Experience in construction administration is required. Experience in public design and construction is preferred. Must be proficient in Revit and be able to design, detail and work in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Construction Administration including on-site construction observances
  • Managing projects from study through construction
  • Working independently to problem solve and to find creative solutions
  • Meeting with clients
  • Coordinating consultants
  • Researching materials and products
  • Working on preliminary schematic designs, and then developing documents through construction documents including detailing and permitting
