About This Position

Job Summary

Responsible for leading the Architectural studio in all aspects of the strategic plan. This role will oversee clients and project commitments, with a primary focus on project execution and client maintenance. In addition, provide as needed support to the new business development team. Practice Leaders must have deep knowledge and expertise within the healthcare industry in project delivery and thought leadership in their area of expertise to partner with our clients and project teams in delivering best in class strategy and design service.

Responsibilities of Position

  • Oversee and lead multiple projects through all phases of design, and actively lead the design process for each of these clients.
  • Work in collaboration with other organizational leaders to leverage the capabilities of the firm and help build the architecture practice.
  • Lead project teams in the development and completion of construction documents in a timely manner as to meet specific project deadlines. Provide project oversight and leadership.
  • Focus on talent development and acquisition.
  • Determine the amount of resources/staff required to meet client/project objectives.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of team members.
  • Support strategic business development, growing Trapani + Associates Architects presence in the market.

Qualifications of Position

  • At least 15+ year’s architectural experience, inclusive of 5 or more years’ experience in an architecture and design firm, and/or management of a studio, division, practice group, or regional office.
  • Experience with healthcare, life science, and research facility projects required.
  • Experience developing relationships with new and existing clients that would enhance the firm’s competitive advantage and positioning.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, within the firm and externally – with clients, consultants, and other key participants in the design and development process.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and other presentations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, or Design.
  • Registered Architect, AIA and current NCARB.
  • Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, as needed.
