Sasaki is moving to downtown Boston in early 2022! Along with our move, the Architecture group is looking for well-rounded Architectural Designers with experience in CA. We are looking for teammates that are excited to engage fully from the get-go and that view each project with a lens on sustainability, function, practicality and inspiring welcoming design.

Ideas matter tremendously around here and as a Sasaki team member you will be encouraged to have a point of view, to share your thinking often, to push design quality further, and to develop a comfortable rapport with clients. For a mid-sized firm, we guard our small-firm feel, focusing less on hierarchy and working together to yield the best designs and built projects.

What you bring:

  • Design chops - you've got vision, creativity, and skills
  • Collaborative spirit - the idea of interdisciplinary teamwork inspires you
  • Opinions - you have them and value sharing them with others
  • Passion - you have a healthy dose of ambition for yourself, your team, the work (and the firm you'll come to love)
  • Proactive resourcefulness - you're energetic and positive about solving problems and take initiative to find a way to say "yes"
  • Growth-orientation - you're curious and want to find greater ways to impact the world around you
  • Humanistic sensibility - you design for people and you are invested in the growth of your teammates

What you'll do:

  • Your initial assignment at Sasaki will be to assist the lead Project Architect/CA lead in day to day activities of a project that is under construction.
  • Subsequent project work will expand into earlier phases of the design process, as well as CA.
  • Review, coordinate and respond to project related RFI's and submittals including shop drawings, product data and finish samples.
  • Receive and respond to Contractor and/or Consultant communications efficiently and effectively.
  • Travel out of state for bi-weekly project meetings.
  • Conduct field observations and write up field reports.
  • Prepare and coordinate complex drawing revisions with various consultants to be issues to the contractor as Construction Bulletins.

Experience and Education:

  • BArch, MArch, or BS, MS in building technology
  • 1-5 years experience in construction documentation and contract administration needed
  • Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam studio
  • Experience with Procore, Autodesk Build, and similar collaboration platforms preferred
  • Be familiar with US model codes and standards a plus
  • Architectural license or on Licensure path preferred
