Emerging Professionals Network (EPNet)

The BSA Emerging Professionals Network (EPNet) is an active social and professional network. Focused on promoting a growing community of young and emerging architects and designers, as well as recent graduates, and other design/build AEC professionals. EPNet hosts a variety of programs throughout the year: mentoring, panels and presentations, firm visits and tours, and many other social and professional events – both virtually and in-person. We also host regular planning workshops, which all interested professionals are encouraged to attend.

EPNet aspires to be a vital resource for young and emerging professionals and serve as a bridge to the larger AEC industry. By fostering meaningful relationships in creative ways, we hope to build a strong support system for the community. Anyone building their AEC career is welcome to join, connect, and contribute!

By supporting a community of emerging professionals in their individual career goals, EPNet aims to:

  • Collaborate with AEC professionals to strengthen emerging professionals’ industry knowledge
  • Advocate for career advancement through leadership and professional skill development
  • Connect emerging professionals with each other and firm leaders in an informal, casual setting

EPNet programs include:

  • Winter Warmer: Our biggest social mixer of the year for emerging professionals across AEC disciplines (returning in 2022)
  • Leadership Lunches: Visit local firms and chat with principals and firm leadership in a small group setting
  • FeedBack: Mentorship program connecting emerging professionals with mentors, creating meaningful relationships and networking opportunities
  • Spring Bootcamp Series: Drilling down on a single theme of professional development
  • Portfolio/Resume Speed Dates: Opportunity to gain advice and feedback on your materials while showcasing and promoting your work to a wider audience
