Steffian Bradley Architects (SBA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Theresa Harris AIA, NCARB, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C to Principal. Harris has been with SBA for 4 years in her previous role as Associate Principal, serving as a senior healthcare planner and architect for SBA’s Sterling Planning Alliance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from University of Michigan.

Tim Pranaitis has been promoted to Design/Drafter II. Pranaitis has been with SBA for 6 months in his previous role as DD1. He serves as SBA’s sustainability co-chair and helps lead the firm’s commitment to the energy reduction of its projects through the AIA 2030 Commitment. Pranatitis holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University.

Tony Miniscalco AIA, LEED AP has been promoted to Senior Associate. Miniscalco has been with SBA for 5 years in his previous role as Associate. He has 20 years of experience and has gained expertise in a variety of project types including healthcare, corporate-commercial, residential, and elderly housing developments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Design and Engineering from University of Central Florida and a Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College.

Tyler Harriott has been promoted to Design/Drafter II. Harriott has been with SBA for almost a year in his previous role as DDI. He has worked on a range of project types including municipal and healthcare projects. Harriott holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University.

Kaplan Construction welcomes Bill Slaney as Operations Manager. Kaplan Construction announced that Bill Slaney has joined the firm as operations manager. In this role, Bill will oversee all field operations; project schedules, site logistics plans, safety program, and quality control. He will be tasked with reviewing drawings and contract documents; participating in project start-up meetings; reviewing estimates for manpower and equipment needs, safety procedures, and alternative methods of construction; managing staff with schedules, construction methods, policies, and standards; and assisting with monthly project analysis, cash flow, and schedule reports. Bill will also serve as the company’s safety director.

He brings extensive construction experience from his years as a self-employed general contractor on the South Shore of Boston as well as more than 15 years at Turner Construction. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, holds Massachusetts, Boston, Cambridge, and Quincy Construction Supervisors Licenses, and is OSHA certified.

Christina Lanzl; and the Urban Culture Institute recently received a Businesswoman Award 2017 from CV Magazine for Best Woman-Run Arts & Culture Initiative 2017 in the Northeastern United States. David Feth joins Wilson Architects as principal.

Wilson Architects is pleased to announce David G. Feth, AIA, LEED AP, a resident of Pembroke, Massachusetts, joined the Boston-based 50-person architectural firm that specializes in the design of science and technology projects as a principal in October 2017. "David’s long history of outstanding projects demonstrate he is a talented design architect as well as a thoughtful and highly respected project leader. His creativity and pursuit of excellence are a perfect match for Wilson Architects," said Bill Wilson FAIA, CEO of Wilson Architects.

Tom Frisbie-Fulton, former University Architect at the University of Rhode Island, worked with David on the University's Center for Biotechnology & Life Sciences and the new College of Pharmacy: "David is a brilliant designer; he approaches architecture as an accomplished composer might craft a symphony, with warmth, drama, and delight.” Many of his projects, including those at Bridgewater State University, University of Rhode Island, and University of Kentucky, have been recognized with numerous design awards from both academic and architectural organizations. He received an M.Arch II from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, and a B.A. in Architecture from Syracuse University
