Building Information Modeling (BIM) Roundtable

RESHAPING THE ROUNDTABLE

As our group continues to explore the reshaping of our BIM Roundtable committee in light of new industry alliances and increased technological disruption of traditional services and methods, we are looking for others to join the core group and help sharpen our aim to serve design and engineering practitioners in the Boston area with relevant insight on design technologies and the evolving digital practice. Join us on the morning of the 13th to explore the following three BEYOND questions:

BEYOND THE BSA: Since we now aligned with other BIM and technology-focused groups of the ACG, CMAA, and local academic institutions, how do you see us interacting and collaborating this year towards common goals?

BEYOND MONTHLY MEETINGS: Since we have committed to creating more of a community outside of our monthly in-person meetings, how do we best connect inside and outside our group throughout the month?

BEYOND BIM: Since we all feel that newer disruptive technologies connected to and not connected to BIM are transforming our profession, the BIM banner may be limiting our consideration of these influences and therefore our perspective may have to shift.  We need more feedback to make sure this shift is relevant and perhaps a new name is warranted.  All ideas are welcome.  See you there!
