*FULL* Cambridge Science Festival Family Design Day: Imagine Boston with LEGO® Bricks

This event is now full, view upcoming Family Design Days here.

As part of the Cambridge Science Festival, discover the art and science of architecture and city planning. Find out what Boston might look like in 2030, and imagine new modes of transportation and vibrant places for “live, work, and play”! Explore how architects and urban planners apply notions of sustainability, transportation, housing, parks, and open space in their work, and share your thoughts on how to make the city more beautiful, resilient, and equitable. Lastly, bring your own fantastic ideas to life using LEGO® bricks, and present them to your design buddies.

This family program is designed for parents and children aged five to 13. A maximum ratio of one adult per three children is required. Please include both children and adults in your registration.

Family Design Day programs encourage children and adults to observe, explore, and design together. In these two-hour hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design through exhibition tours, walking tours, or slideshows and then complete a hands-on design activity. Architects and design educators lead the activities focused on the built environment of Boston and the world.

Family Design Days are a program of the BSA Foundation.

Directions
