COTE: Driving Toward Carbon Neutrality & Climate Resiliency

Architerra—Driving Toward Carbon Neutrality and Climate Resiliency

Architerra was founded to advance climate action through design excellence. The firm’s zero energy buildings and resilient master plans have garnered 30+ awards. Co-founder Ellen Watts FAIA will discuss Architerra’s mission-driven goals and methodologies, focusing on two zero energy buildings — Division of Fisheries & Wildlife Field Headquarters (public) and Clark University Alumni & Student Engagement Center (private) — sharing design details and operating data. Watts will also highlight design and investment strategies behind the energy-positive SUNY-ESF Gateway Center and Architerra’s winning vision for the Boston Living with Water competition – 6 million square feet of climate adapted, carbon neutral development on the South Boston waterfront. Join the BSA COTE conversation about trends affecting zero energy buildings and Boston’s climate adaptation challenges and opportunities.
