Family Design Day with Learning by Design

Join Learning By Design in Massachusetts as we kick off our 2013 series of Family Design Day programs at BSA Space. View the exhibit Not Old School: Architecture in Support of Learning, and learn about how architects and designers consider their relationship with the natural world when designing places and spaces. Then create your own innovative green school using recycled materials. Register.

Family Design Days encourage children and adults to observe, explore and design together. In these 2 hour hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design through exhibit tours, walking tours or slide shows, and then complete a hands-on design activity. Architects and Design Educators lead the activities focused on the Built Environment of Boston and the world. Family Design Days take place one Saturday a month at BSA Space (unless otherwise noted) and are designed for children ages 5 – 13 years old, accompanied by an adult – a maximum ratio of 3 children per 1 adult will be required. Unless noted otherwise, admission is $8/person (child and adult); registration strongly recommended.
