Northern Avenue Bridge Idea Slam!

A napkin sketch and spoken word exploration of a 21st century bridge

The Northern Avenue Bridge Ideas Competition is open, and the City of Boston is seeking your ideas. Explore the meaning of connection with this fun and informal evening event! How might a new crossing respect history, enhance mobility, AND create an amazing place to meet the water?

Come and brainstorm with writers, designers, poets, planners, and all who love our city. Sketch out your ideas on paper, or step out of your comfort zone and try a haiku. An open mic and open table will allow attendees a fast and fun forum to express their ideas and hear what others envision for the future Northern Avenue Bridge!

Kids of all ages, we want to hear your ideas, too!  Please join us during School Vacation Week for a family friendly drop-in design activity about the Northern Avenue Bridge. BSA Space is free and open to the public 10am - 6pm daily; 290 Congress Street, Boston.

Co-sponsored by the BSA Urban Design Committee and the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
