Urban Design lecture

Summer is here! And sprouting up along with it is a growing interest in urban food production, evidenced by raised beds in community parks, rhubarb leaves on rooftops, and parking lots transformed into small scale urban farms. Panelists from both the public and private sector will comprehensively consider the support, benefits and implementation of urban agriculture. Speakers will discuss the zoning change process required to enable urban farms, lateral benefits to youth and community, as well as a newly launched "how to" resource center for urban farming.
