Urban Design lecture: "The Urban Family"

How can open space support the needs of contemporary urban families? Has the idea of the urban park evolved? The Urban Design Committee and Housing Committee host a panel of experts to focus on open space strategies and case studies that complement urban living. Panelists will discuss a shared use public park and dock in Chelsea, the redevelopment of an industrial site in Somerville, and the creation of community based partnerships that foster sustainable activities in dense urban environments.
