Subtilitas study #1, 2015, Photo-manipulation,$750
Subtilitas is a project that was born from my avocation of drawing architectural sketches. Using photographs of flat surfaces and textures, I began creating three-dimensional composites of buildings that looked as though they were photographs. While most of these images derive from my personal sketches, some are influenced by other architectural photographs. Others are made to be completely abstract, leaving the viewer to wonder if the space could exist in real life. Each piece is meant to give a strong sense of time, space, and mood.
