University of Kentucky College of Design
The power of place. It’s more than our tagline; it’s a way to think about how design can impact the world — the place you live and your place within it. But it’s also about building community and finding your role in it. It’s about how our faculty encourage you to dig deep and explore all of the possibilities through the lens of design.
With approximately 430 students in the University of Kentucky College of Design, you can enjoy all the benefits of a small classroom experience but all the opportunities of a large university setting. 49% of our students choose to participate in study abroad, mostly through College of Design faculty led summer programs. We also offer a unique short-term internship program each spring, where students work in hand selected firms across the country and even some internationally.
