You can smell it in the air - it’s time to learn SketchUp! Come visit us (virtually!) during an online session of the next BSA SketchUp Bootcamp and learn from an expert. All user levels are welcome, from new users to pros; best practices for SketchUp drawing are emphasized each session, whether you're starting your first SketchUp model or expanding your SketchUp proficiency.
As always I’ll show you how to start with SketchUp’s basic toolset and work your way up to more complex geometry. This month you’ll learn all about using the Circle and Arc tools, plus I’ll show you how to smooth out those jagged curves and combine them with tools like Follow-Me to create more complex geometry like lathed posts and trim profiles.
Ever wish you could put a note or dimension on your SketchUp model? Or maybe you’ve tried, but then it looked wrong when you changed your view? I’ll show you the best way to use the Dimension and Notes tools to end your frustration, plus demonstrate how to use Scenes to make sure they always look good.
Plus we’ll dive into how to combine those dimensions and notes with the Section Plane tool to create cutaway construction details, plans, and even sectional perspective views!
And I’ll show you how to fine-tune your dimensions and notes in our LayOut Tip of the Month for even better-looking drawings!
As always, bring your questions and I’ll help you streamline your process so you can master SketchUp!
Feel free to bring your fully-charged laptop (and mouse) with SketchUp version 2017 (or later) installed, or just come to watch.
