BSA Staff Picks: Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
The month of May is Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month. In honor of this dedicated month, the BSA staff have selected links, resources, books, and more to share with you so we can all celebrate the work, life, and stories of AAPI architects and designers.
Virtual Learning Expands BSA Kindergarten Program
Over the last four years, the BSA has partnered with Boston Public Schools’ Early Childhood Learning department to help teachers bring their “Construction” unit to life. In this unit, students learn from visiting architects about how cities are built and how different professions come together to create the built environment.
Community + Collaborative Design projects recognize that the design of the built environment benefits from collaborative processes that celebrate a multitude of voices. In linking community partners to spatial designers, C+CD projects seek to create new partnerships and alliances, building coalitions in the pursuit of transformative change, and transforming our experiences of the built environment.
We are currently accepting applications for interested designers and community partners that would benefit from design resources.
BSA Design Awards
The BSA Design Awards are an opportunity to take stock of the architectural accomplishments of our community, including excellent design work, collaboration across disciplines, and investment from committed clients. Congratulations to all of the 2020 BSA Design Award winners!
