Within the design, construction, and commissioning of complex buildings, understanding field performance verification testing is paramount. This presentation focuses on the requirements and logistical challenges associated with this testing, including the BECx commissioning plan development process, building enclosure testing methods, site coordination, and execution. Recently completed projects will be presented as example cases, with open discussion to follow. Gil is a building enclosure consultant with over 23 years of experience in building enclosure commissioning (BECx). His professional experience contributing to this process includes forensic investigation, litigation support, laboratory testing, field verification testing, building rehabilitation assessment and design, architecture peer review, and operations management. As an industry leader and building enclosure professional, Gil has worked extensively on almost every building type, including complex existing structures and new construction. |
