We would like to invite all interested members to join us for an update on the legislative and regulatory issues that could have an impact on the way we practice architecture here in Massachusetts.
As the Administration and committees of the Legislature are still being appointed, there’s little regulatory or legislative activity that’s currently underway. At our January meeting we will discuss:
- The Legislative leadership and Governor’s policy priorities and how our advocacy agenda fits with that;
- What we need to do to prepare for the new two-year Legislative session; and
- What we need to do now in light of the new building and stretch codes and the MBTA zoning
As the sole committee of the Massachusetts chapter of AIA, the GAC's mission is to actively participate in the legislative and regulatory process and encourage public advocacy.
