Introducing the International green Construction Code

  • COST

    $120 ($60, BSA members)

The International green Construction Code (IgCC) is the first attempt to provide a codified approach to sustainable construction. With the support of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the US Green Building Council (USGBC), and several other organizations, the International Code Council published an initial draft of the IgCC in2010 and has updated the document in 2012 and 2015, with the 2018 version expected any day. Currently available as a compliance path for required sustainability in the State of Rhode Island; the District of Columbia; Derry, New Hampshire; and Montgomery County Maryland. This workshop will describe the intent and the application of the code, with particular emphasis on the implications for design professionals.
