  • COST

Free and open to the public

Architects, contractors, attorneys, and others in the AEC industry are invited to AIA Contract Documents Training: Owner-Contractor Agreements and Online Platform Introduction. Every ten years, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) revises its major documents, and the 2017 revised documents were released in April 2017. Join Kenneth Cobleigh, Esq. and Michael Bomba, Esq., AIA staff attorneys, and Hasti Hejazi, director of Global Innovation Education for AIA, to explore these important revisions and how they will impact project team members, owners, and building occupants. Presenters will give attendees insight into the AIA's revision process and the key changes for 2017 owner-contractor agreements. Attendees will understand how the revisions will impact their practice and examine how the new Sustainable Projects Exhibit can be used to provide a positive outcome on the health, safety, and welfare of building occupants.

Attendees will also see a live demonstration of the AIA Contract Documents online platform, ACD5, to discover the key features that make drafting, reviewing, and sharing contracts faster and simpler than ever before.

This is the second in a two-part series on the 2017 AIA Contract Documents. Learn more about Session 1: The 2017 AIA Owner-Architect Agreements: A Review of the New Forms and Strategies for Success here.
