Building Enclosure: Design Assist Contract Methodology and Design Processes—Colby College Case study (Hybrid)

The familiar term “design assist” often means different things to different people in the design and construction industry—which can lead to differing expectations, issues, and confusion establishing a contract. Join us for a case study presentation that outlines the differences between contract types and how the Contractor Consigli Construction and Architect, Sasaki successfully set up and implemented a design assist contract at the Colby College Athletic Center. Gerry Gutierrez from Sasaki and Chris Brown from Consigli will cover why a design assist contract worked for this project, what the expectations were, how it was implemented, and valuable lessons learned along the way.
