Healthy buildings can improve occupant well-being, which can be quantified through metrics such as productivity, collaboration, reduced sick days and self-report. This presentation walks through a WELL-certified building to provide a broad overview of the WELL Building Standard and illustrate design and policy interventions to support wellbeing. We discuss pre- and post-occupancy studies of the case study building, referencing relevant scientific studies and recent public health trends. Finally, we review certification costs for a healthy building and how the benefits to an organization can be measured financially.
