Passive How? Integrating Passive House Methodology into the Design & Construction Process

Several communities in Massachusetts have adopted the new Opt-In Specialized Code, which specifies Passive House as a path to compliance. This presentation will focus on how to integrate Passive House design and construction methodology into architectural design and project delivery processes. Topics covered will include:

  • Setting performance targets
  • Using the energy model as a design tool
  • Scheduling and integrating review feedback
  • Nested certifications
  • Verification and CA
  • Lessons learned

Whether you’ve successfully completed Passive House projects or are considering your first, this presentation will help remove barriers to Passive House certification by sharing knowledge gained on over 20 projects since 2015.
